Rigpa 1, 2, & 3

$3,300.00

Rigpa is a Tibetan word that means intelligence or awareness. In the Tibetan Buddhist tradition of Dzogchen the word has a deeper meaning denoting the awareness or knowledge of the innermost nature of mind. Rigpa, is the knowledge that comes from recognizing one’s own nature.

I first read about Rigpa a little over 20 years ago in The Tibetan Book Of Living And Dying by Sogyal Rinpoche. At that time the question of my creative practice was “what does that look like?” Upon reading about Rigpa, I was reminded of the process of eating an orange.

This may be connected to my first experience with meditation. In my sophomore year of high school, my biology teacher, Mr. London, took us on a guided meditation that involved the peeling and eating of an orange that didn’t exist.
